A Well-Earned Retirement After 31 Years of Service

This week has been an emotional one as, after 31 years of service, we say goodbye to a valued member of the Macdonald Partnership team – Anne Robertson.

After assisting clients with their own financial plans and retirement goals over the years, Anne is leaving us to enjoy her own well-earned retirement.

Anne first joined MacDonald Partnership in August 1993, initially working as PA to the then Senior Partner and founder of the firm, Ian MacDonald. Her role soon developed into an IFA Administrator position, providing invaluable support to the firm’s Inverness advisers, and then progressed to also support the Shetland and Arbroath offices as the business expanded through Scotland.

Over the years, Anne has become such an important member of the financial services team, gaining such a broad knowledge of the industry, and being the first point of contact to assist clients, all of who she got to know personally, on a first-name basis. If there was ever someone or something we couldn’t remember, someone would always say, “Just ask Annie”!

Her hard work has not gone unnoticed internally or externally, and Anne has received so many messages, gifts and flowers from colleagues and clients for all of her help. It really has been a testament to how much everyone thinks of her and how much she will be missed.

Inverness-based adviser, Ross MacDonald, comments: “Anne has become much more than a member of the MacDonald Partnership Team, she has become a close family friend to us all, and we will miss her greatly. However, our door is always open and we look forward to her visits to hear how much she’s enjoying her retirement.”

Stepping into Anne’s shoes is our new Administrator, Lucy, who has been working with Anne and the wider team ahead of her retirement to get to know the business and our clients. Whilst we will miss having Anne in the office every day, she is confident that she is leaving our clients in safe hands.
